Nightlife in Manchester
If you are planning a weekend away, a hen or stag weekend or looking at universities and want to experience a great nightlife, then Manchester is defiantly the city for all of the above! Manchester is known for being the city for going out there with music as well as showcasing a number of different styles and genres. During the 80s period the city was referred to as the Madchester' scene with some major acts coming from the area including; The Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses and many more. During this time was when the club The Hacienda was raving, so much so that the film '24 Hour Party People' was based on! So really it's not surprising that the city boosts such a great nightlife.
You can pretty much bank on whatever day you visit there will be something going through the night too. If its clubbing you are after then you want to head down to Deans gate where you will find clubs such as; Area 51, The Warehouse Project and Sankey's. Area 51 is perfect for those looking for an all night long party; they often have well known DJs playing and is the place every heads to after they have enjoyed the bars as it doesn't open till late and its open till 9am!
The Warehouse Project is a night out on another level! It is open for set times during the year and attracts tons of people, which is helpful as trying to find it would be nearly impossible if it wasn't for all the people going to it. The club is set under Piccadilly Train station, so don't be expecting a glamorous club, the setting is pretty much how you would picture an old car park. The reason why is works? Well that all down to the added additions; the bars, stages, portaloos and the crowds of people looking to have a great night out. They have a number of different music nights so you can go to the one that suites your tastes from dance to house music. Be warned though the drinks are a bit pricey.
If its bars you are looking for then you have and equally great selection to choose from in Manchester too. Whatever bars you like to spend your nights in you'll find a fair few in Manchester that will guarantee you a great night out. If cocktails are what you are looking for you can head to the likes of; M Twenty, based in the Didsbury area, this sexy cocktail bar will have a drink to suit your move with drinks menu's that include I need a stiff drink' and I'm in the mood to party', throw in some live music and you have yourself a great night!

If it's a yes to any of the above then you want to head to the very trendy Michael Caines champagne and cocktail bar. Based in the Abode Hotel it's a great drinking spot day or night and has one of the best champagne menus in the city as well as having a food menu for the opposite restaurant you can enjoy a few whilst you order and then just walk across!
A new hot spot in the city is the bar Cloud 23, the first thing you will notice when you walk in are the views from the floor to ceiling windows that show of the best views of the city. You will have a very stylish night out in Cloud 23, with exclusive drinks, tasty cocktails and great music, you can't really want much more than Cloud 23!
If you are looking for one hell of a fun, friendly and mad night out then you defiantly want to head down to Manchester's Gay Village. Set amongst the cobbled streets of Castlefield and the Bridgewater Canal, it is Britain's first urban heritage park. The gay village will guarantee you a great night out, flamboyant, loud and proud; you can't stop yourself from falling in love with it all!
